What is SLP?

SLP is a one to two days program held in the summer. It is designed to help participants learn about internship opportunities in advance of the normal intern recruiting cycle, and explore career options in public accounting in various practice areas (Audit, Tax & Advisory). In addition, students will learn about the culture of each CPA firm and will get an opportunity to network with professionals from each firm.

Applications Eligibility:

For Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Moss Adams, and PwC applicants must be:

  • Accounting students,
  • Plan to obtain 225 quarter credit hour, and
  • Be eligible to sit for the CPA exam no earlier than December 2018 and no later than August 2019.

For Aldrich, Kernutt Strokes, and Jones & Roth applicants must be:

  • Accounting students,
  • Plan to obtain 225 quarter credit hour, and
  • Be CPA eligible between June 2018 and August 2020.

For Geffen Mesher applicants should satisfy the following:

  • Accounting majors with strong interest in mid-sized CPA firms,
  • Hold 3.25 GPA or better, and
  • Students should have two years remaining in their education before being eligible for employment.

For Grant Thornton applicants should be:

  • Accounting students in their Sophmore or Junior year of college,
  • Hold interest in a career in public accounting, and
  • Have demonstrated leadership and communication skills.

Applications Timeline:

For most CPA firms, applications will open between late January and early February and close on Friday, February 24, 2017. Application deadline may vary by firm.

For PwC, the application will open on Monday, February 6, 2017, and the deadline is Sunday, February 19, 2017.

For Geffen Mesher, the application deadline is Friday, February 24, 2017.

For Grant Thornton, the application deadline is Sunday, March 26, 2017.

Note: For most CPA firms, including the ones mentioned above, eligibility and application timeline may vary per firm. So please read through the applications carefully. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to contact recruiters directly.
