At orientation, we will tell you about training and what you can expect as a volunteer tax preparer. You will also get all the details on the training process and receive your training materials. If you cannot make it to the PSU orientation and register for an off-site location, you will receive a confirmation for your scheduled orientation, along with a reminder before the session.
This experience is enjoyable and extremely rewarding. Beta Alpha Psi continually has a high number of volunteers year after year and were able to complete 350+ tax returns last year. Recently, the BAP team of volunteers won an IRS award for being one of the top three organizations in the United States to put in the most number of volunteer hours with helping people file their income taxes.
AARP Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest, free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service. CASH (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) Oregon is a community based non-profit organization created to help working families improve their financial future. By working together, we have expanded free tax services throughout Oregon.
